Semana passada eu assisti Crepúsculo - depois de muita insistência da minha namorada.
Achei sem sal, clichê e forte candidato a passar muito tempo na Sessão da Tarde.
Edit: Ah! Também vi "Madagascar II". E tal como seu antecessor, é bem fraquinho.
Não se faz mais animações como antigamente.

Já vi esse filme (gosto de muitos tipos de filme, mas nem achei que fosse gostar desse). Ah, mas gostei sim! E adivinha se eu não lembrava da Terra-média, quando ela falava naquele reino, e naqueles seres maus [FONT="]?[/FONT]

Hum...vi ótimos documentários, como "Por Favor Vote em mim", sobre a democracia na China, como o cineasta é Chinês e tudo se passa em uma classe de crianças de 8 anos é MUITO interessante, além disso vi o documentário Tcheco "Sonho Tcheco", que mostra perfeitamente do que a publicidade é capaz e indiretamente trata da questão da União Européia para os países menos desenvolvidos da Europa.
Além de documentários ainda assisti ao clássico: Casa Blanca
E ao maravilhoso "Hansel & Gretel", filme estilo dark fantasy (O labirinto do fauno" e o melhor, coreano, ou seja, suspense oriental, o melhor que existe, realmente de arrepiar.

Eu vi ontem algo que, se não é um clássico, alo menos é algo definitivamente histórico. Assisti o filme francês "Le Voyage dans La Lune", de Georges Méliès, feito em 1902.
Falei grego né? Então:
George Méliès foi um dos primeiros grandes cineastas da história, tendo feito mais de uma centena de filmes entre 1896 e 1913 - muitos dos quais estão perdidos parcial ou completamente. O diretor é muitas vezes conecido como "The Cinemagician", em uma referência à sua anterior carreira como mágico de palco e também pelas inovativas técnicas de efeitos especiais. Méliès morreu em Paris em 1938 como vendedor de brinquedos, após ter sido obrigado a vender seu estúdio para empresas maiores em 1916. Muitos de seus filmes se perderam por suas fitas terem sido recicladas para uso em novos filmes.
Sobre o filme "Le Voyage dans La Lune" especificamente, ele é o primeiro filme de ficção científica de que se tem conhecimento! E está completo desde 2002 - explicações mais para frente! É vagamente baseado em "Da Terra à Lua" de Júlio Verne e "The First Men in the Moon" de H.G. Wells.
Obviamente filmes desta época tendiam a ser curtas e não ter uma hora e meia (ou mais) como hoje. "Le Voyage[...]" foi filmado originalmente em 16 fps, o que dá ao filme cerca de 14 minutos. Se visto nos atuais 25 fps (velocidade mais comum de gravação), tem cerca de 8 minutos - claro que isto não faz diferença ao ver apenas o filme em si, que por óbvio é mudo.
Porém, Méliès criou um roteiro a ser lido por um narrador no cinema - assim como eram feitas as trilhas sonoras de filmes da época, tocadas ao vivo no cinema. Logo, é prefirível ver a versão de 14 minutos.
Como eu assisti? Até 2002, a cena final do filme era considerada perdida, até que uma cópia foi encontrada na França, colorida manualmente - uma das técnicas inventadas por Méliès. Esta versão foi restaurada e está presente no box de 5 DVDs "Georges Méliès: The First Wizard of Cinema (1896-1913)", que contém 13 horas de tudo o que é conhecido de sua obra hoje.
Mas como os direitos autorais não são mais validos hoje, o site www.archive.org possui a versão conhecida até 2002 (em p&b, com trilha sonora e narrador gravados hoje em dia) em seu acervo. A última cena, encontrada em 2002 é de pouca ou nenhuma relevância para a história do filme.
Tudo bem que eu duvido que naquela época direitos autorais sequer existissem, visto que Thomas Edison - sim, o mesmo que inventou a lâmpada, que aliás era um picareta de mão cheia - copiou secretamente o filme e o lançou nos EUA fazendo uma fortuna, e Méliès nunca recebeu um tostão em cima do filme.

Para saber a história:
A história se inicia em uma reuniâo de astrônomos (o termo astronauta não existia na forma como conhecemos), que selecionam seis deles para uma viagem até a lua.
A viagem se dá da mesma maneira que Júlio Verne descreve em seu livro: um canhão disparando uma bala, o que traz uma das cenas mais marcantes do filme: o projétil, com os seis astrônomos, atinge o olho da lua.
Á partir da chegada na lua, segue-se parcialmente o livro de Wells, com algumas criações do próprio Méliès: ao chegar na lua, são atingidos por uma nevasca - no caso, causada por uma das deusas gregas da lua, Febe. O planeta Netuno, além de algumas estrelas da constelação de Ursa Maior assistem os astrônomos dormindo.
Estes acordam com a nevasca e vão par ao interior de uma caverna se proteger. A caverna está cheia de cogumelos gigantes, do tamanho aproximado do guarda-chuva carregado por um astrônomo, quando o próprio guarda-chuva vira um cogumelo.
Logo em seguida, um selenita aparece. Selenitas são aliens insetóides presentes na obra de Wells nomeados a partir de outra deusa grega da lua, Selene (sobrinha de Febe). Os selenitas explodem quando atingidos com grande força, mas cercam os astrônomos, levando-os à presença de seu chefe. Um dos astrônomos atira o chefe selenita ao chão, explodindo-o, e os seis correm devolta ao projétil.
O peso dos seis faz o projétil cair (!!!!) em direção à terra, onde são resgatados no mar - aí de volta à história de Verne. A versão de 12 minutos acaba com o resgate deles, enquanto a versão de 14 tem a cena de um desfile eh homenagem aos astrônomos.

Upon order being restored, the trip proposed by the president is voted by acclimation.
Five learned men make up their mind to go with him.
The man-servants bring travelling suits.
President Barbenfouillis selects five colleagues to accompany him...
...Nostadamus, Alcofrisbas, Omega, Micromegas and Parafaragamus.

We enter the interior of the workshops where smiths, mechanics, weighers, carpenters, upholsterers, etc...are working hard at the completion of the machine.
Micromegas accidentally falls into a tub of nitric acid.
A workman informs the astronomers that if they would ascend to the roof, they would witness a splendid spectacle...the casting of the gun.

The astronomers ascend to a ladder and climb on the roof...
...where they finally arrive.
Against the horizon, the chimneys are seen belching forth volumes of smoke.
Suddenly, a flag is hoisted.
At the signal, a mass of molten steel is directed from each furnace into the mold for the gun.
The mold puts forth flames and vapor.
This causes much rejoicing among the enthusiastic astronomers.

On the top of the roofs of the town, pompous preparations have been made.
The shell is in position, ready to receive the travelers.
These arrive...
...respond to the acclamations of the crowd...
...and enter the shell.
Marine close the bridge through which they have passed.
A number of gunners are now pushing the shell up an incline into the mouth of the gun.

The cannon is loaded.
The bridge is closed.
Everyone is enthusiastically waiting for the signal which starts the shell on its voyage.
The officer gives the signal.
The gun is fired...

...and the shell disappears into space.
----------
The shell coming closer every minute...
...the moon magnifies rapidly....
...and until finally it attains colossal dimensions.
Suddenly, the shell kisses the "eye" of the moon.

The shell comes down with a crash.
The astronomers get out and are delighted at the landscape which is new to them.
Against the horizon, the Earth is rising slowly into space...
...illuminating the picture with a fantastic light.
The astronomers, inspecting the strange country, see craters everywhere.
Just as they are about to explore, an explosion throws the unfortunate men violently in all directions.
The astronomers show signs of fatigue...after the rough trip they have just had.
They stretch themselves out on the ground and go to sleep.
Seven gigantic stars representing the Great Bear appear slowly...
...and out of the stars come faces of women whom seem annoyed at the presence of these intruders in the moon.
...in their dreams, they see passing in space: comets, meteors, etc.
Then, the stars are replaced by a lovely vision of Phoebes on the crescent, of Saturn in his globe surrounded by a ring and of charming young girls holding up a star.
They decide to punish the terrestrials in an exemplary manner.
By order of Phoebes, snow is falling from all quarters...
...covering the ground with its white coat. The cold becomes terrible.
The unfortunate voyagers wake up half-frozen.
They decide without hesitation (and in spite of the danger) to descend into the interior of the great crater...
...in which they disappear one-by-one whilst the snowstorm is still raging.

The astronomers arrive in the interior of a most curious grotto.
Here we see enormous mushrooms of every kind.
One of them opens his umbrella to compare its size with the mushroom...
...but the umbrella suddenly takes root and transforming itself into a mushroom starts growing gradually into gigantic proportions.
The astronomers suddenly notice strange beings coming out from underneath the mushrooms...while making singular contortions.
These are the Selenites...or inhabitants of the Moon.
A fantastical being rushes on an astronomer...who defends himself...and with a stroke of his umbrella the Selenite bursts into a thousand pieces.
A second suffers the same fate.
But the Selenites are arriving in numbers.
The terrified astronomers, to save themselves, take flight with the Selenites in pursuit.

Succumbing to numbers, the astronomers are captured, bound and taken to the palace of the King of the Selenites.
On a splendid throne, surrounded by living stars, the Selenite king is sitting.
President Barbenfouillis makes a dash for the King of the Selenites...and lifting him like a feather throws him violently on the ground.
The unfortunate king bursts like a bombshell.

The astronomers run away in the midst of the general disorder.
The Selenite army is pursuing them.
The astronomers run at full speed turning around each time they are pressed too closely...and reducing the fragile beings to dust.
The still increasing number of Selenites obliges the astronomer to take desperation to flight again.

At last, the astronomers have found the shell and quickly shove themselves in the interior.
Thanks to the advance, they have succeeded in gaining over their adversaries...only one, the president, has been left behind.
He rushes to the rope which hangs on the front of the shell...and letting himself slide down the rope he gives it a push which causes the shell to fall off the edge of the Moon.
A Selenite clinging to the shell to hold it back is drawn with it....
...and hanging on the projectile accompanies it in its drop.

The shell falls with sickening rapidity.
----------
The Sea appears.
----------
We're currently following the course of the shell into the bottom of the ocean.
The shell balances...and thanks to the hermetically sealed air in its interior rises slowly to the surface...to the puzzlement of the fishes.

The shell is picked up by a steamer which tows it to port...
...where a general ovation awaits the happy return.

The Selenite is still seen clinging to the shell.
In the market place of the town the authorities are assembled...
...the crowd awaiting the appearance of the astronomers.

The municipal band advances...
...followed by marines drawing the decorated shell.
The Mayor congratulates the astronomers on their happy return.
Crowning them, he confers upon them the Order of the Moon.
The march past of the fire brigade and marines takes place.
On the square appears the commemorative statue of the trip...
...representing President Barbenfouillis vanquishing the moon, with this device:
"Labor Omnia Vincit."
The marines, the astronomers, the crowd, the Mayor and councillors join in chorus dancing around the statue to the President.

In the market place of the town the authorities are assembled...
...the crowd awaiting the appearance of the astronomers.
The procession arrives.
The municipal band advances...
...followed by marines drawing the decorated shell.
The Mayor congratulates the astronomers on their happy return.
Crowning them, he confers upon them the Order of the Moon.
The march past of the fire brigade and marines takes place.
On the square appears the commemorative statue of the trip...
...representing President Barbenfouillis vanquishing the moon, with this device:
"Labor Omnia Vincit."
The marines, the astronomers, the crowd, the Mayor and councillors join in chorus dancing around the statue to the President.

"Inconsertável"
"Blade Runner" - de Ridley Scott
Todo ano eu preciso assistir a esse filme.
Aliás, meu nick é por causa do personagem andróide Roy...mais humano que o próprio homem da era da robótica!
Nunca vi um filme que transmite em imagens o conteúdo necessário para fazer do filme um convite à reflexão sobre o papel que desempenhamos na vida.
Roy, quando no limiar de sua finitude, diz de forma inesquecível e pétrea "All this moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain".
Fico imaginando se pudessemos enxergar o tempo disponível, cada segundo de vida, de forma tão poética quanto enxerga Roy....
