Sean Penn has no idea why he was in The Tree Of Life​

As it turns out, it’s not just the famously ornery, anti-intellectual rabble of Stamford, Connecticut who had a problem with Terrence Malick’s The Tree Of Life and all of its dinosaur-strewn meandering through the entire creation of the universe. Even star Sean Penn found himself disappointed by the end result, telling France’s Le Figaro that while he considered the script “the most magnificent one that I’ve ever read,” he believes that “a clearer and more conventional narrative would have helped the film without, in my opinion, lessening its beauty and its impact.” Noting that Malick himself was little help when it came to explaining what he was going for, Penn adds, “Frankly, I’m still trying to figure out what I’m doing there and what I was supposed to add in that context.” Uh, perhaps Malick just enjoyed the way the light plays off your natural crevices, like the sun filtering through a desert rock formation?

Tinha visto o filme ontem de noite, depois de ter visto O novo mundo e de ter ficado muito empolgado com este, mas, sei lá, esse Tree of life é bem diferente de todos os outros dele, aí, como tbm estava muito tarde (o filme acabou à uma e pouca da madruga) e com muito sono, não consegui acompanhar muito bem... Mas foi incrível como, assistindo agora novamente, tudo parecia fazer sentido e conectado - e lindo tbm!
Então vai a dica que alguém aí em cima já falou: não assistam ao filme (assim como nenhum outro do diretor) com sono =P!

Hoje, nas primeiras horas do dia eerrr, madrugada comemorei meu dia assistindo a esse filme pela terceira vez. E só reafirmou o filme como um dos meus mais estimados favoritos. Impressionante como pareceu tudo tão mais claro e compacto e comunicativo - olhando com atenção vc percebe que cada cena acrescenta sentido às vidas dos personagens e à historia -, ao mesmo tempo pareceu tão novo, como se visse pela primeira vez.

"Postêr sincero" do filme.

Quem dera... Pelo menos o Lubeszki tinha que ter ganhado nesse. Não da para desgrudar os olhos. Em cada imagem que se move vc pensa - Que câmera!!!
