Caralho! Paradise Lost está de volta! Após um hiato de 12 anos, desde o lançamento de seu último disco, o Draconian Times (1995), o Paradise Lost volta muito foda, repleto da sonoridade pesada e sombria que o consagrou nos anos 80-90!

OBS: isso mesmo, os CDs One Second (1997), Host (1999), Belivie in Nothing (2001), Symbol of Life (2002) e Paradise Lost (2005) não são trabalhos do Paradise Lost. Devia de ser alguma bandinha furreca que pegou emprestado seu nome, já que o Paradise parecia ter encerrado em 1995.

OBS2: é o segundo retorno verdadeiro às boas origens que contemplo. Moonspell foi felicíssimo ano passado ao retornar com seu Black Metal de 11 anos atrás lançando o excelente Memorial (2006).

Loreena McKennitt: Brilhante, perfeito, imperdível. Compre.

Jorn Lande: Terceiro álbum dele só nesse ano. Um ao vivo matador com destaque para o medley de Whitesnake. Hard rock na veia.

Nightwish: Ótimo álbum e mantendo o nível. A voz dessa menina nova é bem mais agradável que a da Tarja. O instrumental também está matador, com destaque pra guitarra, bem pesado e num clima de "gotico-eletronico" junto com o teclado. Dá pra dançar algumas musicas desse cd numa rave gótica, facilmente (ex: Bye Bye Beautiful)

Ever Since: Instrumental excelente, mas a vocalista é ruim e não permite que a banda seja reconhecida por alguma coisa fenomenal. Mais uma daquelas bandas wannabe After Forever.

Que álbum é esse da Loreena, algum ao vivo? Porque o último que ela lançou que eu fiquei sabendo foi o "An Ancient Muse".

E muita bondade sua chamar essa vocalista nova do Nightwish de "menina", já que ela tem 35 anos
Mas esse termo até que não está de todo errado, já que ela cantando soa como uma menininha mesmo (no mau sentido do termo)

Digno de nota:

Ken Hensley. Quem gosta do Uriah Heep tem aqui uma boa pedida, excelente opera rock do ex-tecladista e melhor compositor que a banda já teve. Além disso o album conta com vocais de grandes nomes como Jorn Lande, Glenn Hughes e John Lawton (também ex-Uriah Heep) além do próprio Hensley. Destaque pra faixa de abertura Just the Beginning e Okay (This House Is Down).

Iced Earth. Ok, não é um grande álbum, passa longe disso, mas depois de escutar várias vezes eu passei a gostar.

David Readman. Ótimo trabalho solo do vocalista do Pink Cream 69, AOR, pra quem gosta.

Blé, nem vou comentar outras coisas, ninguém se importa mesmo.

Eu to ouvindo ele, mas esse álbum ta estranho.

Talvez tenha sido muito, mas eu fui dando notas pros outros albuns, e bem, eu gostei mais dele do q todos os outros. Então eu tinha duas escolhas, ou abaixar a nota de todos ou deixar o Iced com 80. Mas o cd realmente cresceu na minha opinião, das primeiras vezes ele não passaria de 70.
