Bom galera,n sei se oq eu estou falando ja foi escrito,mas voltando ao assunto principal do tópico,gostaria d citar duas músicas do Blind relacionadas a Tolkien:
The Wizard(versão do Blind,n sei qm eh o autor original) e Noldor...
Acho elas realmente lindas,especialmente a The Wizard:

He was the wizard of a thousand kings
And I chanced to meet him one night wondering
He told me tales and he drank my wine
Me and my magic man kinda feelin'fine!

He had a cloak of gold and eyes of fire
And as he spoke I felt a deep desire

The Wizard é um cover deles do Uriah Heep. Acho que não tem nada a ver com Tolkien não...

Bem, uma música que eu achei muito linda do Blind Guardian, que tem a ver com as Obras de Tolkien, era Time Stands Still(At The Iron Hill). Não sei direito o que fala, mas acredito que é sobre uma batalha no Iron Hill.

Essa música é do cd "Nightfall in Middle-Earth" (NiME), e fala da luta entre Fingolfin e Morgoth, e da vitória do senhor do Escuro sobre o Alto-Rei dos Noldor.

O Maglor é "bom" ou "mau"? E ele aparece muito no Silmarillion? Até agora, não falaram nada dele.

Esta é uma descrição dos homens quando eles vieram do leste. Está na canção por causa da traição dos homens, graças a essa traição deles, a vitória foi possível para Morgoth.

Aqui é a batalha na visão dos elfos

Talvez este seja Húrin. Morgoth o pegou depois desta batalha.

Quando Morgoth pegou Húrin, o Senhor da Escuridão o pôs sobre uma cadeira no topo das montanhas de Thangorordrim para assistir seu povo e sua família em agonia na terra destruída.

Eu ia postar essa música!
As influências da obra de Tolkien nas letras do Blind são muito evidentes.
E Blind é phoda!

De todas, a que eu mais gosto é a Nightfall. Não existe nada mais revigorante do que ouvir o Hansi Kursch gritando o bom e velho jargão do Fëanor: "I swear revenge!".
Outra que também é muito boa é a Noldor (dead winter reigns). Eles expressam muito bem as partes do livro a que se referem.
Time Stands Still (at the iron hill) também faz juz ao todo.
Aliás, Nightfall In Middle Earth, pra mim, é o melhor cd do Blind.

Concordo plenamente com o Aldrich a respeito do NiME ser o melhor CD do Blind,porem esse novo que esta chegando,A Twist in The Myth,eh realmente muuuuuito bom...
Se voce curte musicas no estilo "Bard Song" e "Nightfall" com certeza vai curtir "Skalds and Shadows"...
Consegui o CD completo atraves do Soul Seek....Nao vejo a hora de possuir o Original!!!!
Apesar do Thomen ter saido,esse novo batera manda muito bem!
Ah,voltando ao assunto do Topico,ha alguma possibilidade dessa "Skalds and Shadows" ter sido inspirada por Tolkien?Afinal,ela fala sobre bardos acima de tudo
