Even now my heart desires to test my will upon it, to see if I could not wrench it from him and turn it to where I would - to look across the wide seas of water and of time to Tirion the Fair, and perceive the unimaginable hand and mind of Fëanor at their work, while both the White Tree and the Golden were in flower!' Eu nunca achei que essa história de ele não lembrar de algumas coisas enquanto estava encarnado chegasse ao ponto de ele não lembrar de quem ele era e de onde ele vinha. Aqui me parece que não só ele lembra, mas também que ele tem uma saudade danada de lá. Aliás o Contos fala sobre isso, que enquanto os Istari se mantivessem fiéis à sua missão eles teriam esse sentimento de saudade de Aman, que era para eles como uma visão remota.
