Tournaments
Thank you for all the feedback on the planned changes to the Tournament MVP prices. We've been listening and will not change the MVP prize to a rotating series of rewards, as we initially stated. Instead, MVPs will continue to win gold.
We also listened to your suggestions on how to prevent auto-clickers and think the Playdom community has come up with a great idea regarding how MVPs should be calculated. Pending future changes, the MVP will be the person who generates the most clickable items in the feed, instead of the person that clicks the most feed items.
For example: during a single tournament you complete three research projects and share all three items in the feed. If, in the same tournament, other players share only two items in the feed, you will win MVP for that tournament. Basically, the more you play and share, the more likely you will be to win MVP.
Otherwise, the existing points system for tournaments will not change. The guild that generates the most points will still win, and all players who want the tournament prize will need to contribute at least 30 points to the winning guild. Only the way we calculate MVPs will change.
Gifting
We would like to clarify that the new minimum gold balance on paid gifts ONLY apply to gifts you buy with gold. Gifts bought with silver can be gifted without any gold balance.
Finally, we apologize for the bug that changed the frequency of free gifting and therefore, energy bouncing. While energy bouncing itself was a bug, free gifting was designed to work more than once per day. We will update the site next week with a change that will enable gifting on a more frequent basis and will post to the forums as soon as it's ready. Meanwhile, we'd like to remind you that while you can buy energy, you can also get free energy from visiting your allies and friends.
