- he says "The Lord of the Rings" films weren't bad but he had to rush through them due to deadlines and they could have been better.
- he has not been contacted and if no one contacts him soon his schedule will be too busy to film it.
- he likes the idea of filming The Hobbit in two pieces
- he wants to make it more complex and less like a kids book for which it was intended
- he wants to bring back as many cast members as possible. (sorry Purists)
- his lawsuit with New Line has no effect on him directing or being a part of The Hobbit film.
