Po, anathema sempre vai ser uma das melhores bandas pra mim, tanto na fase doom quanto na fase gothic

Po, tão poucos curtem Anathema? E eu só descobri esse tópico deles hoje e por acaso vi o lançamento do novo album deles no site Amazon. Mas já tem na Livraria Cultura

Não importa, gostei demais do som deles e da letra, principalmente desta:

Springfield:

É um álbum conceitual, que retoma os eventos após o fim de A Fine Day to Exit (2001). O álbum acabava sem que soubéssemos o que ocorreu com o protagonista após ele se atirar ao mar. Agora The Optimist revela o que ocorreu: ele sobreviveu e decidiu retomar sua vida de alguma forma, e o álbum lida com suas emoções enquanto dirige seu carro sem destino.

De uma maneira geral eu gostei do álbum, mas achei um pouco inferior aos últimos (sobretudo Weather Systems, meu favorito da banda).

E em setembro eu provavelmente vou conseguir ver eles ao vivo (finalmente!) em Manchester
