100 Melhores Thrillers de todos os tempos

[align=justify]Em sua terceira edição pela editora BestBolso, o thriller O silêncio dos inocentes, do escritor norte-americano Thomas Harris, emplacou a primeira posição na lista dos 100 livros de suspense mais eletrizantes já escritos.
A votação foi realizada pelos ouvintes da NPR (National Public Radio ou Rádio Nacional Pública, em tradução livre), organização midiática sem fins lucrativos que também serve como uma espécie de sindicato para os profissionais que trabalham nas rádios públicas dos Estados Unidos.
A pedido da equipe da NPR, os ouvintes sugeriram cerca de 600 títulos para concorrerem a uma vaga na lista dos 100 melhores thrillers de todos os tempos. Uma equipe composta por cinco escritores e críticos literários refinou a seleção e reduziu o número de títulos para 182. Os ouvintes entraram em ação novamente e elegeram os livros que mais lhes agradavam. No total, cada um podia votar em dez vezes.
O silêncio dos inocentes conta a história do psicopata, canibal e assassino em série Hannibal Lecter. Nesse thriller, a trainee do FBI Clarice Sterling precisa lidar com o criminoso para desvendar as pistas de um crime.

Só pra deixar registrado: "Tinker tailor soldier spy" ("O espião que sabia demais"), de John Le Carré, é uma merda. Inteligente, mas muito chato. Não funciona como thriller exatamente, mas como um registro das missões de agentes secretos durante a Guerra Fria. "O espião que saiu do frio", por outro lado, é muito bom.

Devo procurar alguma coisa do Thomas Harris pra ler. Os filmes da série do Hannibal são muito bons.

Patricia Highsmith é fantastica! Eu prefiro livros brasileiros, mas ela tem uma forma de narrar absurda!
E "Strangers on a Train" é tão bom que virou um filme, mas meu livro preferido dela é "The price of salt".

Nota: The Da Vinci Code, provavelmente, o pior livro que eu já li.
