olha so, eu tava dando uma olhada no site da livraria cultura, e tem um livros la que nao tem na bibliografia do site. alguns são so de tolkien, e outros dele com parceria de alguem (eu nem sabia que ele tinha feito parcerias).

ai vão colocam TOLKIEN no espeço no canto supeior-direito na tela, e clicam em autor. as primeiras paginas vao ser as obras mais conhecidas, mas depois aparecem essas que eu to falando, que eu nem sabia que existia.
 
Tem muita coisa legal na Livraria Cultura. Alguns desses livros valem super a pena. ^^

Só uma coisa: a mairia dos livros aí são sobre Tolkien, não dele em parceria com alguém. Até onde eu sei, ele nunca chegou a concluir nenhum livro de ficção em parceria (se eu não me engano, chegou e ter um projeto com o Lewis, que nunca foi pra frente.)

Tópicos como esse são bons para observar que a literatura Tolkieniana vai muito além do Senhor dos Anéis e de Silmarillion (os dois livros mais discutidos aqui na Valinor). Como citado acima, ele fez vários ensaios acadêmicos também... Mas eu ainda prefiro o SdA! xD
 
Se tiver Livraria Cultura na sua cidade, vc pode encomendar lá mesmo, até mandar importar que eles não cobram nada alem do preço do livro. Num tem nada haver mas essa semana chega meu livro de Planeta dos Macacos, to mto ansioso =P

Também acho isso bem legal. Tolkien demorou um tempão pra fazer suas ficções exatamente porque se dedicava tanto ao trabalho nas universidades que lecionou. Tem um monte de traduções, etudos, ensaios e afins feitos por ele. Aliás, seu estudo de línguas e suas traduções também influenciaram bastante nas suas obras, o que é particularmente interessante.


Eu queria um livro que explicasse as obras de Tolkien, comentasse as histórias e talz, comentasse cada parte. É bom pra pegar os detalhezinhos que a gente sempre acaba perdendo. Alguem me recomenda algum?
Existe uma versão de "O Hobbit" comentada (aqui). É o mais 'parte a parte' que eu consigo lembrar, mas é em inglês e ainda não li pra dizer se é bom.

Eu já li "Explicando Tolkien" e achei bem legal. Esclarece alguns pontos, aprofunda em outros. Interessante, se você pretende se aprofundar mais num sentido de estudo do que de entretenimento.

Tem também o "Atlas da Terra-Média", se você se interessar por geografia e o livro do "Curso de Quenya", se gosta de línguas. =]

Nem me lembre nisso, esse livro já teve aqui em casa, mas faz tempo! Minha irmã leu, e eu não... Na época eu não conhecia Tolkien. ¬¬ Mas acho que minha prima tem, então vou ver se ela faz a generosidade de me emprestar! :grinlove:

O livro essencial (e que é até hoje o melhor já escrito na área) sobre as obras de Tolkien, o processor de criação dele, as influências, a linguagem, etc., etc., é The Road to Middle-earth, de Tom Shippey.

No estilo do Annotated Hobbit, há algo similar para o SdA, mas as notas foram publicadas como um livro à parte: The Lord of the Rings: A Reader's Companion - simplesmente tudo sobre o SdA, análise minuciosa de praticamente cada parágrafo, etc. Essencial também.

E a obra definitiva sobre o próprio Tolkien saiu há pouco tempo, em dois volumes:

O Sobre Histórias de Fadas que está à venda nas livrarias é uma tradução incompleta, possui só dois dos quatro textos do Tree and Leaf original.

Para uma tradução muito mais elaborada, completa e anotada, é indispensável baixar a dissertação de mestrado do Reinaldo "Imrahil", aqui mesmo na Valinor - e, ainda por cima, de graça. :wink:

Eu sugiro o Roverandom, é mágico, adoro aquele cachorrinho, uma aventura bem leve, gostosa de ler e muito criativa!
